Weekend 609.1 (Nemo me impune lacessit)

“Limestone Roof is like the Arts & Culture section of the Wall Street Journal.”
— Lionel Trilling

Football, Bermuda, Naruto, Playmobil, and the British. It’s amazing HOW all my favorites just bubble on the weekend. I’ve been riding the Brompton almost daily since Bike New York. It’s due for an overhaul this fall at the Brompton Junction in NYC.

Have you ever read The Man in the High Castle? I think I had my Robert Childan moment when a Morgan Silver Dollar bell arrived from China a couple of weeks ago. My intent is to elaborate in great detail, but I need a couple of weeks. I’m adding a couple of new artists to the LR HOF. The five are— Hayao Miyazaki, Makoto Shinkai, Haruki Murakami, Seiji Ozawa, and Tetsuya Nomura. In regard to the latter, it sounds like Kingdom Hearts 4 is a 2026 release. Gulp. I know WHY fan fiction is SO popular because we need something/anything to fill the spaces in-between releases.

It’s been a while, but I have some NEW Playmobil photographs. The subject is the Limited-Edition Volkswagen Beetle (70827). This was an officially licensed product.

“Harvey was, in short, exactly the type of man that Nelson respected, as he was a shadow of the great man himself: compulsive, brave, and with an unshakeable belief in the value of personal honour and the glory of Britain. He represented his countrymen both at the ballot and on the gun deck, and he did so for the love of his country and his hatred of the French.”
