“On colour, the authors wrote: ‘the principal aim should be to produce a balanced colour relationship in all parts of the station….to include station signs, poster surrounds, machines, kiosks, etc….It is also desirable to consider the relationship of the colour of the building to the type of landscape in which it is set.’ The proposed range of British Standard 381C shades would maintain consistency across the Region; it was based on the greys and silver with tints of green or blue used for machinery and the military. Items to be easily seen by the public carries a brighter colour.”
