Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary (PII)

After Sora fades on Destiny Islands what does Kairi do next? Did Sora say something prior? The single tear seems to indicate resignation versus shock. Sora knows he’s vanishing (after abusing the power of waking “foolishly”) but does Kairi know before they deliver Chirithy to Ventus in the Land of Departure, reawaken Naminé in Radiant Garden, enjoy fireworks at Disney Castle, and sea salt ice cream during sunset at the Clock Tower? Does Kairi (and the other five guardians of light) consult with Yen Sid, Merlin or the Fairy Godmother before she consents to sleep in the chair of Ansem the Wise in Radiant Garden for a year?

Is there a scenario where the six guardians of light + Xion (one of the thirteen seekers of darkness) go back to Le Grand Bistrot for a reunion on the anniversary of Sora’s disappearance? We know Aqua, Terra, and Ventus are in the Realm of Darkness searching for Sora but can they be contacted? If there is a reunion what would it look like and who would attend?

Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary

“Thinking of you, wherever you are.” — Kingdom Hearts

Tetsuya Nomura has created a story and world as rich as Tolkien’s Middle Earth. Here are a couple of YouTube links to celebrate the storied franchise.

I haven’t beaten the Mysterious Figure in BBS on the PSP 3000. I still have my PSP but the UMD often fails. My favorite boss in this list is the Clocktower Phantom from KH1. The setting for this boss is Big Ben in London and it reminds me of Mickey’s PhilharMagic and Peter Pan’s Flight in WDW.

Taking refuge at home…

I didn’t post a ton during my sabbatical but enjoyed some serious downtime. I’ve compiled a list of all the happenings (in true Limestone Roof tradition).

(1) Finished Fatal Colours by George Goodwin. My next book assignment is The Brothers York: An English Tragedy by Thomas Penn

(2) Updated LIMESTONE with a new theme (it had remained more or less the same since moving from BLOGGER in 2010)

(3) Helped my brother earn the KINGDOM HEARTS III Complete Master trophy

(3a) IRL Trophy: Kingdom Hearts Wayfinders Lasercut Pendant (Etsy)

(4) Attended 1 NHL and 1 AHL hockey game. Saw my beloved Bridgeport Islanders defeat the Charolotte Checkers on Saturday, January 8 at Webster Bank Arena

(5) Walked to Mass via the greenways in NC; attended Mass at St Thomas (homecoming).

Weekend 486.2 (LETSGO)

(1) I’m replaying 2400 AD by Chuck “Chuckles” Bueche. I’m using a IIe emulator called AppleWin (1.29.16.0). You can find the ROM Images on sites like ftp.apple.asimov.net.

Weekend 465.0

“The danger of these expeditions was no doubt very great, but the spoils were in proportion, and there was not a boy or man of the seafaring population of Devon who would not gladly have gone with the adventorous captain.” — Under Drake’s Flag by G.A. Henty

Weekend 460.1

(1) Kingdom Hearts: 10 Coolest Looking Keyblades, Ranked (The Gamer)

(2) A Fleer PAC-MAC card from the 1980s. The Fleer Corporation is now defunct.

(3) Ferris Wheel and Skyline from Eden of the East. This was some of the best anime I’ve watched since The Last Exile. I also watched Steamboy during quarantine and it was okay. I like the time period but the characters were kind of insufferable and the animation was dark (as well as the story). I think 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is preferable.
