Not quite the Holy Grail of robots but pretty darn close. Playmobil® manufactured a version that looks like R2-D2 but it's very difficult to find. This version was released in 1983 and assembled in Argentina.

Keep an eye out for the Holy Grail of Playmobil® robots in your travels. It displays swankily on your desk or bookshelf. I'll also pay you a premium if you wish to sell it.
